FRONTIERS IN MATERIALS RESEARCH III

Frontiers in Materials Research III is the third in a series of Workshop organized by the Center for Advanced Interdisciplinary Research in Materials (CIMAT). The first was held in May 2002 in collaboration with the Materials Research Laboratory of the University of California at Santa Barbara. The second was held in May 2004 (see http://www.cimat.cl/Conferencia/Frontiers) in collaboration with the Inter American Materials Collaboration---CIAM. The third will be held from October 11-14 in Viña del Mar, which is on the ocean about 100 Km from Santiago, Chile. These meetings have a very interdisciplinary tradition with no parallel sessions, so everyone is exposed to talks in different areas of materials research. Only invited oral talks and contributed poster presentations are given, and a special effort is made to foster communication across the various materials-related disciplines.
